No roll at the jetty
A cat waits while suitcases come aboard. A deep-V monohull does not. World Cat is the guest boat.
Resort speedboat · Maldives · Seychelles · Mauritius
A guest transfer for Velana, a villa run, a dusk hop between islands. Bought by the resort. Specified in Dubai. A tender, in the old word — a speedboat, in the one your guests already use.
What the marine manager actually needs
North and South Malé run 15 to 90 minutes, day and night. Luggage is a hard case, not a soft seaplane bag. Guests board a pontoon in a cross-chop. The boat that wins that job is stable at rest, shallow on the lagoon, and dull to operate at 10 p.m.
A cat waits while suitcases come aboard. A deep-V monohull does not. World Cat is the guest boat.
Twenty minutes to Kurumba needs seats. An hour toward Ari needs a head and a dry cabin. That is the 325DC or the EdgeWater 370.
The transfer should not also be the dive deck. Front Runner 35 takes the excursion. The cat keeps the timetable.
The shortlist
Jetty boat
Shallow, stable, enough deck for a villa party and their bags. The everyday lagoon tender.
280CC-X
Guest boat
Dual console. Guests face forward, crew has a side. A head on board. The boat most resorts should start with.
325DC
Island hop
Same hull, open deck. Sandbank lunch, a cast, a run to the next island without rolling the drinks.
325CC
Flagship transfer
When the arrival is part of the room rate. Shade, space, a hull that still works if the lagoon is up.
400DC-X
Cabin run
Unsinkable, a cabin, fuel for a long Velana run or a Seychelles hop. The monohull, if the brief wants a door that closes.
370CC
Cabin run
One size under the 370. Night transfer, a head, a hull a resort captain already knows how to run.
325CC
Dive and excursion
Not the airport boat. The second boat: tanks, a wide deck, a sandbar, guests who are already wet.
35 Cat
The arrival
When the pontoon is the first photograph. Fewer seats, more finish. Two of this hull are already held for the region.
315 LXFFor the owner, not the guest
Minutes from the airport, how many guests with bags, night or day, lagoon or open. Maldives, Seychelles or Mauritius. The reply is a World Cat if they must stand still at the jetty, an EdgeWater if the run is long and wants a cabin, a Front Runner if the boat is the excursion. Contender stays on the fishing page. This is not a charter.
